You're way too early into the game, metaphorically speaking, to quit.
Things take time, as much as it sucks when ya wanna create better stuff NOW rather than in the future.
As far as the high expectations that Newgrounds has... not really sure what ya mean.
Just keep at it, even if it doesn't feel like you're improving, in reality, if ya keep at it on a constant basis, improvement will happen.

Not sure if what I just said made any f**kin sense, but hopefully some positive message came through the word salad

Just keep working at it. I used to get like 1 star on all of my videos, but now I have gotten over 3. That's not great, but I am still proud of my work. Also keep in mind, that you are young, and a lot of people on this site have much more (sometimes even professional) experience. You aren't going to get there overnight. You have to keep working at it.

NG is hard but it also helps. if you have enough support people who help you improve it can let you grow really fast ^^
